Tera Cluster is the first tera-scale cluster in Thailand. The cluster is a part of Thai National Grid Center, part of Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA), in part of Thai National Grid Project, or ThaiGrid in short. The Cluster is on-line since June 20th, 2007.

Hardware

This cluster compose of

1. 2 frontend nodes (1 master, 1 backup)

   1. HP DL360 G5
   2. Intel Xeon series 5000, 3.2 GHz
   3. 8 GB Memory
   4. 5 TB Lustre file system on Storage nodes

2. 192 compute nodes connected with Gigabit Ethernet, 32 of 192 nodes are also connected with Infiniband

   1. HP DL140 G3
   2. Intel Xeon series 5000, 3.0 GHz
   3. 4 GB Memory (8 GB in Infiniband node)

3. 4 storage nodes connected with both Gigabit Ethernet and Infiniband

   1. HP DL360 G5
   2. Intel Xeon series 5000, 3.2 GHz
   3. 2 GB Memory
   4. 2 HP MSA500 thus create 5TB virtual storage using Lustre file system

Performance

Tera achieve performance about 2.5 TFLOPS (Rmax) with about 5TB storage.
